As an emerging artist who is eager to rejoin the craft world, I am excited to rededicate myself to ceramics and showcase my talents in clay through the commingling of nature and function. My work concentrates on the functionality and the beauty of natural elements. As a fundamentally artistic thinker, I push what would be considered a boundary between something that should sit atop a pedestal and something that belongs next to the coffee pot. I believe there is no greater connection to an object than one that serves you on a daily basis. I strive to make these vessels as loved as the drinks they are serving.

The concept of my work is heavily focused on details within the natural environment that are typically overlooked for their functional purposes. The beauty and unique characteristics of wood grain, stone, or vegetation often serve as the basis of my inspiration. I strive to accentuate these naturally occurring designs and emulate them on functional pottery that will be consumed by the user. Driving the connection between natural elements and everyday life is a necessity to adequately cherish the world around me.
